RDN's purpose is to provide a website for information on USDA and other government programs to support growth in Rural America.
It is a service of The Management Channel, the Washington based consulting firm of TMC Strategies, LLC and the Washington based law firm of Marx and Lieberman, PLLC.
The primary focus of RDN is USDA's Rural Development (RD) and its role in increasing rural residents' economic opportunities and improve the quality of life for Americans living in rural areas.
Rural Development forges partnerships with rural communities, funding projects that bring housing, community facilities, utilities and other services.
Rural Development also provides technical assistance and financial backing for rural businesses and cooperatives to create quality jobs in rural areas.
Rural Development also promotes the President's National Energy Policy and ultimately the nation's energy security by engaging the entrepreneurial spirit of rural America in the development of renewable energy and energy efficiency improvements.
Rural Development works with low-income individuals, State, local and Indian tribal governments, as well as private and nonprofit organizations and user-owned cooperatives.
Further information on RDN can be accessed at the About tab.
